Draft — last updated 30 September 2026. Not yet reviewed by a legal professional; treat as a placeholder until finalized.
You need an account to use Stept, created via Google, Apple, or email sign-in. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
You retain ownership of any profile photo or name you add. By adding a profile photo, you confirm you have the right to use it and grant Stept a license to store and display it to your connected friends within the app.
We aim to keep Stept available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, and we'll aim to give reasonable notice of anything significant.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Stept is provided "as is." Step, distance, and flights-climbed figures depend on your device's own sensors and Apple Health / Health Connect data, and may not be perfectly precise. Stept is not a medical device and shouldn't be relied on for medical decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, Stept is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these terms as Stept evolves. Material changes will be communicated to active users before taking effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@thesteptapp.com.
